Katie Trigg

Clinical Psychologist

Katie is a fully qualified Clinical Psychologist. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (Registration No. PYL041593). Katie completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London (UCL) in 2022. She has over 10 years' experience working within mental health services, predominantly in the NHS.

Katie takes a warm, collaborative and person-centred approach to therapy, recognising that every individual and family brings their own unique experiences, strengths and hopes for the future. She works flexibly, tailoring therapy to each person's needs and values building trusting therapeutic relationships where people feel heard, understood and supported.

Katie has worked with children, adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. She has provided individual therapy, family work and group interventions, both in person and online.

Katie has extensive experience working with children, young people, parents and families across a range of NHS services. She understands that when a young person is struggling, the impact is often felt across the whole family. Taking a systemic and compassionate approach, Katie works collaboratively with families, recognising the important role they play within the therapeutic process. She aims to create a warm, non-judgemental space where you feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences, helping to make sense of what you are going through and move forward together.

Katie also has specialist expertise supporting children, adolescents and adults living with physical health conditions. Through this work, she has developed a deep understanding of the close relationship between physical and mental health, recognising the emotional impact that health conditions can have on individuals and those closest to them. Katie is passionate about supporting individuals and their loved ones to navigate these experiences, offering a space to tell their story, make sense of difficult emotions and find ways to live meaningful lives alongside their physical health.

Katie is trained in a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and systemic approaches, including Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
